Building for the Church of the Future
As a church we have embarked on an exciting project to build a new church building, ensuring that we can continue to do God’s work of sharing the gospel with the people of Pontardawe for many years to come.
This is a much needed project. Currently our kitchen is unsuitable; the disabled facilities are inadequate; there are damp rooms; no suitable space for Sunday Schools; no room for equipment; and there are times where we are bursting at the seams.
Over recent years we have prayerfully analysed our needs, prepared suitable plans and consulted various members of the community. We have purchased some vacant land on Brecon Road, adjacent to Dan Y Bryn nursing home and are now in the process of building our new church building.
It will come as no surprise to learn that such a project will be costly, therefore we have sought God’s guidance and wisdom seriously, knowing that the project will only succeed if it is his will.
We are very aware that the Church is made up of God’s people, not bricks and mortar. A new building will however provide an opportunity to serve the community. It will aid us in our efforts to make the word of God known in our part of the Swansea Valley.
By God’s grace we have reached this stage in our history, and with his continued guidance we now move forward with anticipation to the next phase. We invite you to join with us by supporting this exciting venture.
